Knollcrest Lodge is seeking to hire a full-time Life Enrichment Coordinator to help support Knollcrest’s Life Enrichment Department. We seek candidates who have a desire and passion for serving the community of Milverton and the surrounding Perth East area, and who have knowledge and understanding of Therapeutic Recreation, or Recreation and Leisure Studies.

We seek candidates who are passionate and result-driven to join our team. The Life Enrichment Coordinator will be accountable and responsible for providing programs to our residents. The ideal candidate may have the following qualifications: degree/diploma in therapeutic recreation, recreation and leisure, or kinesiology; experience working with older adults and volunteers; strong organizational skills; strong communication skills; ability to work as part of a team and independently; and experience planning, developing and coordinating social and recreational activities, arts, crafts, music and all other domains.

Work collaboratively with the Life Enrichment team to ensure that an appropriate calendar of recreational and social activities are well thought-out and enhance the quality of life of all residents at Knollcrest Lodge. Activities include both indoor and outdoor programs, occurring during the daytime, evening, weekday and weekend.

This position is integral in meeting the needs of our Nursing Department.

Responsibilities include: implementing care plans that include a limited range of interventions; Communicates well with our residents, families and our Team; Great assessment skills; provides medication and treatment administration as per the scope of the RPN; demonstrates and advocates for a safe and secure environment for our residents and our Team.

We seek candidates who are looking for a meaningful, rewarding, and supportive work environment.

Ideal candidates should have experience working in a health care or Long Term Care setting; is a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario; current medication administration certificate is an asset.

Knollcrest Lodge is seeking to hire Permanent Full-Time and Part-Time Personal Support Workers to help support Knollcrest’s Nursing Department. We seek candidates who have a desire and passion for serving our people, and who have knowledge and understanding of Long Term Care Nursing.

This position is integral in meeting the needs of our Nursing Department.

Responsibilities include: assisting the nursing process by observing and reporting changes in the resident’s physical and emotional condition; understanding the needs of our residents by reading their care plan/ Kardex and providing the prescribed bedside personal care needed; delivering personal care to promote comfort and safety for the resident during activities of daily living in accordance with the standard of resident care; maintains effective communication and good relations with residents, families and significant others; participates as a team member in cooperation with other departments to ensure quality care of the resident and provides input into the plan of care.

Responsibilities include: supporting the growth of the Volunteer Management Cycle and enriching the volunteer programs of Knollcrest Lodge and Community Outreach Services, working cooperatively with other partner agencies, implements recruitment and volunteer management strategies, schedules volunteers, schedules client services, ensure volunteers are up-to-date with orientation and annual education, etc.
