Knollcrest Lodge is recruiting for a Part-Time Dietary Aide to join our team in Milverton. In this role, you will report to the Food Services Manager. This opportunity would be working two shifts bi-weekly (9 hrs bi-weekly; Sat, Sun 3:30-8:30pm).
Please note: An option exists to pick up Cook shifts or additional Dietary Aide shifts (in addition to the Part-Time 9 hrs/bi-weekly Dietary Aide line). The starting rate for Dietary Aide shifts is $21.99/hr; while the starting rate for Cook is $24.04/hr.
We seek candidates who have a desire and passion for serving our residents, and who have a strong understanding and experience in a Long Term Care food services environment.
As a member of the Knollcrest Food Services team, the Dietary Aide will follow established policies, procedures and standards and who have successfully completed a Safe Food Handlers certificate. We are seeking individuals with accredited training and/or experience, or the willingness to learn more complex meal preparation routines for the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals and beverages to residents according to specific care plans and dietary needs
- Set tables in dining area, ensuring food is served at the correct temperature and in compliance with food safety standards
- Clean, sanitize, and properly store kitchen utensils and dishware after each meal service, following infection control and sanitation protocols
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines
- Other duties, as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Previous experience working in Long Term Care setting is an asset
- Accredited training (i.e. Culinary Management, Nutrition & Food Service Management) and/or relevant experience is an asset
- Ability to read and write in English, and understand verbal and written instructions in English
- Strong team player with the ability to cooperate with colleagues and department heads
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with other colleagues

Knollcrest Lodge is seeking a Part-Time (3 days a week) or Full-Time Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Milverton. In this role, the NP will work closely with residents, their families or caregivers, and the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans. Additionally, the NP will mentor staff to enhance their knowledge and assessment skills. This position reports directly to the Director of Resident Care and the CEO, and is accountable to the Medical Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care to residents within the scope of practice set by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Engage in research, education, and evidence-based initiatives to improve resident care and health system outcomes
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, diagnose acute and chronic conditions, prescribe treatments, and order diagnostic tests
- Provide palliative and end-of-life care and ensure a smooth transition for residents moving between care settings
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and external healthcare providers to optimize resident care
- Document clinical findings, interventions, and care plans accurately and in a timely manner
- Engage in research, applies evidence-based practices, and acts as a change agent to enhance care quality and outcomes
- Other duties, as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Extended Class (Primary Health Care or Adult) with current CNO registration
- Provide after-hours and on-call coverage in accordance with the Doctor’s needs
- Recommended qualifications include postgraduate education in gerontology, specialty certification in gerontological nursing, and palliative care experience
- Must maintain confidentiality, ethical conduct, professional liability protection, CPR certification, and ongoing clinical competence
- Ability to read and write in English, and understand verbal and written instructions in English
- Strong team player with the ability to cooperate with colleagues and department heads
