Your Opportunity!

Knollcrest Lodge is recruiting for Full-Time, Part-Time, and Casual Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team in Milverton. In this role, you will report to the Director of Resident Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the nursing process by observing and reporting changes in the residents’ physical and emotional conditions
  • Deliver personal care to promote comfort and safety for the resident during activities of daily living in accordance with the standard of resident care
  • Understand the needs of residents through Resident Care Plans/Kardex, and providing the prescribed bedside personal care needed
  • Follow health and safety protocols and maintain a safe environment

Job Requirements:

  • Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate or current Nursing Student (RPN, RN)
  • Experience working in health care or long term care setting is considered an asset
  • Ability to read and write in English, and understand verbal and written instructions in English
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with other colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario

Knollcrest Lodge is seeking to hire Permanent Casual Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to support Knollcrest’s Environmental Services Department. We seek candidates who have a desire and passion for serving our people, and who have knowledge and understanding of Long Term Care Environmental Services. Training in PIDAC is an asset.

Responsibilities on a Housekeeper include: cleaning resident’s rooms, all resident common areas, lounges, activity areas, and dining rooms in the Long Term Care Home; cleaning and sanitizing using proper infection prevention and control methods; removal of garbage and recycling; replacing paper products and being an active and supportive team member of the Knollcrest Team. Responsibilities of a Laundry Aide including gathering, washing and unloading laundry, folding laundry, inspecting and returning personal clothing to the residents; rooms, cleaning of washers and dryers, inspecting slings for wear and tear and reporting accordingly.

We seek candidates who are looking for a meaningful, rewarding, and supportive work environment.

Ideal candidates should have experience working in a health care or Long Term Care setting; able to read and write English, be able to lift garbage bags and laundry bags, reach, push, pull carts, and able to meet the physical demands of the position.
